Thomas Arms Hotel- This small, friendly hotel with recently refurbished public areas is 5 minutes' drive from Parc Trostre retail park and the new rugby stadium. The rooms have an en suite bathroom and are comfortably furnished. There are many other attractions such as the Wildfowl Wetland Centre and the Millennium Coastal Path. The restaurant menu offers traditional pub food and modern dishes.

Tyn Rhos Country House- Located on the open plain between Snowdonia and the Isle of Anglesey, this former farm has been transformed into a stylish country house. Ty'n Rhos is surrounded by 50 acres of farmland with views of Snowdonia, and its friendly staff extend a warm welcome. Bedrooms feature quality bedspreads and curtains, luxury bathrobes and towels, Egyptian cotton bedding, toiletries, courtesy trays and Freeview TV. There is a large, restful lounge furnished with antiques, and a cosy, tastefully furnished bar. The dining room and conservatory overlook the gardens and the Isle of Anglesey. Ty'n Rhos, which means 'house on the heath', has won many fine awards.

The Sunnyside- The Sunnyside has been recently refurbished and is a family-run establishment in a superb location near the Great Orme in Llandudno. Set just off a well-preserved Victorian promenade, comfortably decorated en suite rooms offer the added convenience of TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. An inviting restaurant (to seat 45) is on hand, complimented by a well-stocked bar/lounge. The Sunnyside is situated just 5 minutes' walk from Llandudno pier and promenade, and just 10 minutes' walk from the Llandudno Ski Centre and West Shore. Please note that the Sunnyside operates a completely non-smoking policy.

Craiglands Guest House- You will be sure of a warm friendly welcome from Gwynneth and Philip when you stay at Craiglands House. Craiglands is a fine lovingly maintained Victorian House less than 100 yards from the promenade, enjoying many original features, creating an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and tranquility. The Horse and Jockey Inn- Originally a 14th century coaching inn, the Horse & Jockey offers a warm and friendly atmosphere, owned by the same family since 1989. Situated in Knighton town, close to the Offa's Dyke Centre, the inn offers a cosy lounge bar with log fire and a main bar with weekend entertainment. At the end of the large courtyard is an 80 seater restaurant which offers an extensive menu. Owner and chef Gary Salt can cater for any occasion. Booking is essential at weekends.

Drovers Arms Hotel- Situated in the historic town of Carmarthen, this traditional inn offers calm and comfortable accommodation, all of which is en suite and equipped with standard facilities. Drovers Arms Hotel has recently been refurbished and the bar room now boasts a traditional quarry tile floor, wooden beams and a log burning stove, as well as a superb bar crafted by local carpenters. The bar serves a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. Meals may be taken here or in the cosy non-smoking restaurant, serving varied dishes made with fresh local produce.
