What an amazing location! Perched high on the Great Orme overlooking Llandudno, you really do have a bird's eye view of the town and over both the North and West shore beaches as well as the mountains of Snowdonia in the distance. In a quiet location, this lovely architect designed detached house is great for a family holiday. From the living room enjoy stunning views from the large panoramic windows across the Conwy Estuary to the Snowdonia mountain range, and the Dee Estuary to the Wirral. Relax in the conservatory and admire the beautiful views over the West Shore to the Snowdonia mountain range. The gorgeous garden has two separate patio areas perfect for al fresco dining.
You can explore the Great Orme headland and Country Park on foot, with many attractions to see (you may even be lucky enough to spot the wild Kashmiri goats that graze here). The Great Orme Tramway's halfway station is almost at the end of the road, and the Bronze Age copper mines are well worth a visit. Take a trip deep underground and learn about life 5,000 years ago. At the summit you can see out to sea for miles (in fact you can even see the Isle of Man on a clear day), and catch the UK's longest cable car, just over a mile, down towards the town centre.
From Raven's Lodge it is a short but steep walk down to the restaurant quarter of town in Upper Mostyn Street, but there are plenty of hotels, restaurants and cafes throughout Llandudno town centre, dubbed 'The Queen of Welsh Resorts'. You can stroll along the Promenade, walk along Wales' longest pier, shop till you drop, perhaps catch a concert, visit a West End show at Venue Cymru Theatre or visit a choir at St John's Church. Nearby, the historic walled town of Conwy is well worth a visit, with its imposing Edward I Castle, and attractive quay, where you can take a boat trip out into the Conwy Estuary. There are a number of National Trust properties in the area including Aberconwy House, Plas Mawr (Cadw) and Bodnant Garden which is only a few minutes' drive and is attractive at any time of year, but particularly May and June when the laburnum arch is in flower. If you need an adrenaline fix then you can catch a wave or just a coffee at Surf Snowdonia in the Conwy Valley the world's first inland surf centre, or pop in to Zip World Fforest at Betws-y-Coed and experience the amazing Fforest Coaster. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
